When the idea for a hangout came, we wanted to achieve a few things…
1. To make pharmacists take a little break from work, unwind and meet new people who may not necessarily even be fellow pharmacists.
2. To lend a voice to antibiotics abuse and misuse with the commonest diction possible (pidgin English), with the hope of correcting the wrong impression most people already have especially with the use of ampiclox.
This led to the branding of the shirt ‘ampiclox no dey wash system’ which was clearly received well by the online medical community, as it was widely shared to raise awareness.
Well, during the hangout it was all a good day for everyone till we decided to go and take a picture with our shirts branded with ‘ampiclox no dey wash system’. That was when all the attention was drawn and what letter became a ‘gospel on the beach’ was preached.
